Join us for a walk in memory of our daughter, Kennady. Walk or roll 1, 2, or 3 miles around Fox Brook Park Lake to raise money and awareness of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Proceeds will go once more towards Dr. Brian Kaspar's gene therapy. The research has shown great success in the lab over the past year and is tentatively scheduled to move into the patient population the first quarter of 2013. We also would like to donate "Frogg Togg chilly pads" to the Families of SMA care packages given to newly diagnosed families

Fox Brook Parking: A standard parking fee of $3 per car will be collected by Fox Brook Park the day of the event.
Time: Registration starts at 9:30 am and the walk will begin approximately at 11 am.
Registration Information:
- Online registration is $25 per adult and $15 per child.
- The day of the walk, adult registration is $30 per adult, and $15 per child.
- Each participant that registers online before September 16 will receive a walk t-shirt.
- Lunch will be served to all participants after the walk.
- Raffle tickets will be available to purchase during the registration period on the day of the walk for themed raffle baskets.
Donations: If you are unable to participate in the event and wish to donate to the cause, please follow the registration link below and enter your donation amount in the "Donation" field.
Please register below before September 16, 2012. - In order to guarantee correct t-shirt size, you must pre-register for the event by September 16. After September 16, t-shirts will be given on a first-come first-serve basis.
Please download the "Kennady's Dream - Walk/Roll for SMA Sponsor Sheet" below if you wish to collect additional money towards the cause. Please bring sponsor sheets with donation money the day of the walk. Please also fill out the sponsor form for online fundraising that you may do. This will help us keep track of raffle tickets for our special "sponsor raffle". Please make checks payable to Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
We are excited to announce our special raffle!* For people that raise extra donations for the walk (not including registration fee), you will be entered for a chance to win a prize(s) of your choice:

For every $20 you raise in donations, you will receive 1 raffle ticket towards winning one (or maybe more) of these prizes. Ex: $1-$20, 1 raffle ticket; $21-$40, 2 raffle tickets; $41-$60, 3 raffle tickets...etc. Please print out the "Individual Sponsorship Form" below and bring this form the day of the walk with your sponsor donations and totals written on the sheet. You can set up a fundraising team online, but please also enter your donations on your sponsorship form.

There are a few exciting changes to this year's walk:
- We will be asking for company sponsor donations, and individual walker sponsor donations. See links for details and to download. We will hold a separate walker sponsor raffle with exciting big prizes to those that participate in raising extra money for the walk. Walkers will also be able to set up a personal fundraising page that will track donations made towards their individual goals. Please fill out sponsor sheet for both online or "in person" donations so we can keep track of raffle tickets earned for money fundraised.
-We will be selling raffle tickets again this year for a group raffle, so visit our Kennady's Dream website occassionally between now and the walk for updates on raffle items. Anyone that would like to donate raffle items, please send an email to: erin@kennadysdream.org.
-Adult t-shirts will be grey this year, and youth t-shirts will be white. Children can decorate their Kennady's Dream walk t-shirts during the registration period. We will print out a limited number of extra t-shirts for those that register the day of the walk.
-We encourage everyone to print out a walk waiver to fill out at home and bring to the walk. We hope this will cut down on the large line that formed at last year's walk. If you are unable to print out the waiver, we will still have them available the day of the walk.
- We will print out a limited number of extra t-shirts for those that register the day of the walk- first come, first serve. Last year we did not provide t-shirts to those that registered the day of the walk. We still encourage everyone to register online so we can get a good estimate of t-shirts. We want as much money as possible to go towards the cause, so we will not print out a large amount of extra t-shirts.
- We want to make the walk a lot of fun and are encouraging people to be creative and wear "Kennady Flair" with their event t-shirts. This would be something Kennady would have been known for liking or wearing. Ex: Pigtails, fun skirts, hairbows, flower headbands, Disney Princess, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Tangled...or anything "girly". We cannot wait to see what people come up with!
