We would like to thank everyone for attending and donating to our 2nd Annual Kennady’s Dream-Walk/Roll for SMA 2013 at Fox Brook Park in Brookfield, WI. With everyone’s help, we were able to raise over $12,500!! Money raised went towards Dr. Brian Kaspar’s research and we were also able to donate a year's supply of Frogg Togg Chilly Pads to the Families of SMA type I care packages. Families of SMA sends out care packages to all the newly diagnosed families that register through their website. When Kennady was newly diagnosed, we were also sent a care package filled with information about SMA, and toys appropriate for her weakening muscles. We wanted to give back to those care packages and donate an item that families could find useful. The chilly pads give the ability to help cool down the body, which can bring comfort to kids with SMA that are working hard to maintain their strength.
